Like most of Western Pennsylvania, the Washington District is a place of diversity. Our borders touch Ohio, West Virginia and four other districts and reveal many small towns, several small cities and a variety of rural settings. The members are privileged to serve in several college settings, ministry to the homeless, ministry to the elderly and those on the borders of society, and fellowship to all those who desire a relationship with Jesus Christ. Mission/Outreach is the heart of the Washington District and provides hands-on approach to Evangelism in a very effective way.
Our 76 churches provide a variety of worship styles including contemporary, traditional and small group settings. Serving these congregations are elders, licensed local pastors, retired pastors, certified lay ministers, a deacon and a host of dedicated lay servants. The Holy Spirit is active and present in the Washington District. It is a wonderful place to serve the Lord.
