Bio
Born in McKeesport, and raised in the Elizabeth area, Drew is enrolled in the Course of Study program at Methodist Theological Schhol in Ohio. He retired in July 2019, after working as a radio broadcaster for 30 years through Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio. Drew served in music and youth ministries for 14 years, until he followed his call into ministry after becoming a Certified Lay Speaker through the Indiana District Lay Servant Ministry program. He graduated from Pastor Licensing School in April, 2018, and was assigned as a Pastor to Grace UMC, Sykesville the following June, and was assigned to Pleasant Valley UMC, Reynoldsville in January, 2019. In July 2021, Drew was named Senior Pastor for the New Hope Charge, which includes Sykesville/Grace, Pleasant Valley and Falls Creek United Methodist churches. He was appointed to serve the United Methodist Charge for Christ, serving Cochran's Mill UMC, Elderton UMC, and Mount Zion UMC.
Drew believes that a ministry can grow through work in the communities that it serves. He has worked with various community group, including Lion's Clubs, food pantries, and working with the local ministries. Drew continues to serve on the district youth, and enjoys teaching in the Indiana District Lay Servant Ministry School. He also serves as Producer and Contributor for Western PA Conference Anti-Racism Team's podcast. "Meet in the Middle". Drew also works with his wife Jenny on deaf ministry. The two will be happily married 27 years on June 2. They have 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
