I was born the youngest of six, which is a large part of my identity. We are a very close family who stays in contact daily. I graduated from Brooke High School (go Bruins!) in Wellsburg, WV. I received my teaching degree in English and Drivers’ Education as well as a BS in Industrial/Hospital/School Safety from West Liberty University. It was there that I met Whit, and on May 26, 1984 I had the best day of my life when we married.
I have 2 passions in ministry: the elderly and children. I love helping those who are facing the close of their life here on earth to find comfort in the promise of the life in paradise to come.
With children, I love introducing an incredible Savior in Jesus Christ. I worked for 26 years at The Day School at The Children’s Institute with children with special needs. The last 6 years, I worked in an Autism classroom. I believe that experience was a call from God which prepared me for ministry.
In 2012, I attended Licensing School and entered Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. I graduated in June of 2018 with my Master of Divinity degree. Currently I am a Provisional Elder in the United Methodist Church working toward ordination in 2021.
We love being in nature: watching birds and animals, biking, hiking, photography.
Family is very important to us. We love the opportunities to be together as much as possible. Sunday dinners have always been a family tradition with a large number of the family.
