Bio

I am a life long Methodist.  I graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1974. I attended Lycoming Colege and Penn State before entering into the Navy with my husband. We were stationed in VA. Beach for 10 of his 11 years of service. I had an early discharge and raised our two boys. We moved back to DuBois in 1987, so I could help my parents manage their day Cleaning business. I had managed and opened a few Dry Cleaners for Albino Cleaners in Virginia. Tom and I have been married for 44 years. We have two married sons, 2 grandsons, and one great-granddaughter. We love to travel and camp with our friends and family.

I served the HIclory Sabula charge from 2006-2008. I was appointed to Big Run and Albion charge in 2008. During my time there I was approved to pastor the Big Run Presbyterian Church. I initiated a few new ministries. The prenatal Clinic was a partnership with the Punxsy hospital. It provided prenatal care to low- income families, including the Amish Communities. We also began our meal ministry with up to 60 people attending. Getting the two churches to work together was rewarding. While I was there I also started a park revitalization project.

My charge was realigned in 2013. My husband was appointed to serve Albion UMC and Big Run was partnered with Sykesville. This appointment was going well. A house church was started in Sykesville. This small group had a heart for community service and prayer. One night at our meeting a member came in and asked us to go to the neighbors to pray. We all got on our phones and put a call out for everyone to come to the address at 7:30, the response was amazing. We had a flash mob prayer on Main Street. The DS came and gave his support. In 2016 I was reappointed to the Blairsville Cooperative Parish. It was an honor to receive this call and I am so blessed to be part of this great ministry.

My ministry passion is reaching new people for Christ. I will continue to reach out in new ways to share the love of Christ. I am passionate about my Addiction ministry. Jenn Marshal and I lead a small group at the local rehabilitation center, Conegewgo. I have been part of the restoration stories of many of the women. So far, we have baptized 6 ladies from our group. I believe small groups are the foundation for success in church growth.

Outside of local church ministry, I serve on DCOM, BOM, and Parish and Community Development. I have been a Rotarian for 17 years, and I continue to be involved in each community I serve. I presently serve on the Burrell Township Library Board, where we are fund sourcing for a new building.

I am a late bloomer when it comes to education. I left school to join the Navy. I graduated Course of Study at MTSO in 2015. Recently I have acquired  33 credits toward my associate degree in Ministry.  My present goal is to be an associate member of the conference this year.
