Victoria R Heath
P.O. Box 570
Tori Heath was born and raised in the Mon-Valley area in Washington County, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Charleroi Area High School and attended Edinboro University. After gaining an English Literature degree from Edinboro in 2014, she attended Asbury Theological Seminary and received a Master of Divinity in 2018.
For one year, Tori worked at Asbury Theological Seminary as the Coordinator of Worship. There she planned three chapel services a week throughout the school year and one service a week throughout the summer term. Tori led a team of 12 chapel interns who volunteered to help with chapel services and other worship and administrative opportunities. Tori also worked very closely with the Dean of Chapel and the Worship Professor from whom she gleaned much information to aid in planning worship services that help people worship and glorify God.
Tori was commissioned as a provisional elder in 2018 in WPA. Asbury UMC in Waterford is her first local church appointment as pastor. The people of Asbury have welcomed her and her husband so well. This small-town church is somewhat larger than what Tori expected when she heard she was moving to Waterford. The people of Asbury work hard to be the hands and feet of Jesus to each other and the surrounding community. There are still opportunities for growth and depth at Asbury, which Tori is excited to undertake with the people of this great Christian community.
Tori met her husband Dustin during their time at Asbury Seminary where Dustin also received a Master of Divinity. Dustin is pursuing a career in chaplaincy in addiction recovery and works as the evening chaplain at Snug Harbor Rehabilitation and Recovery located in Harborcreek, PA. He is loving his work with the residents. Dustin is beginning the process to become an ordained deacon in WPAUMC. He is accepted to Evangelical Seminary where he will begin a Doctorate in Theological Studies in fall 2020.
Waterford and the Erie area have proven to be a great place for both Tori and Dustin. They are grateful for this appointment.
