Donna is a Local Pastor who came to ministry originally as a lay speaker, motivated by her mission experiences in Rwanda and Zimbabwe. As a former staff member of the Western Pennsylvania Conference, with many years of service in a variety of roles, she has a deep understanding of church polity, administration, and people. Donna believes God placed her in positions along her faith journey with strong and empowering people to guide and encourage her. Although Donna served Faith Community/Riverview for the last four years as an Associate Pastor, she has been a member of Faith Community since 1990.
With that experience in mind, Donna also leads her congregations at Faith Community/Riverview UMC Charge in Rochester/Beaver Falls by encouraging and empowering lay leadership. During her time as Associate Pastor, she has taught many study classes, retreats, and mentored several members into lay leadership and Elder track.
Donna was part of the inaugural Zimbabwe Immersion experience, and continues an active role by serving on the Zimbabwe Partnership Committee. She also taught a class for lay leaders at the Zimbabwe Laity Academy, held at Africa University. Donna leads and coordinates the Church Professionals Retreat each summer at Olmsted Manor and also teaches at the Butler District Lay Servant School, as well as serving administratively at Annual Conference. She is enrolled in the Course of Study offered by Methodist Theological School in Ohio and attends their extension school at Spring Heights, West Virginia.
Donna and her husband Buck were both born and raised in Beaver and continue to live there. They have four adult children, nine grandchildren, and were blessed this year with two great-grandchildren. Traveling together with their extended families is their greatest joy.
