I was born in Pittsburgh and grew up in Rostraver Township in Westmoreland County. I attended Belle Vernon Area High School, then Grove City College, and earned my M. Div. from Evangelical Theological Seminary.
I served the Dunbar:Wesley UMC 2000-2001, and the Templeton/Kellersburg/Widnoon Charge from 2004-2005, both as a student pastor. I served the Brush Valley Charge (Brush Valley: Calvary, Mt. Tabor, and Robinson: Evangelical) from 2005-2011. I served Seward from 2011-2020, and have served Armagh and Seward since July 2020.
My wife, Sharon, is also a UM Elder, currently serving the New Florence Charge (New Florence and Bolivar). We have two children, Joshua and Araina. I enjoy nature photography, hiking, running, backpacking, canoe tripping, whitewater kayaking, camping, hunting, and fishing. I am an Eagle Scout and have continued to be active in Scouting. I am passionate about camping ministry, and I have served as a trip leader for the Canadian Wilderness Canoe Trip program for more than 20 years.
