Born in 1972. Grew up in Claysville, PA. One of two Children to Jim and Carolyn Lawler. I have an older sister who is a nurse and lives in Xenia, Ohio. I grew up in the United Methodist church attending Claysville United Methodist Church. I graduated from McGuffey High School in 1990. I graduated Friday m Median School of Allied Health in 1991 with a diploma in Physical Therapy Technician. After graduating as a PT Tech I received My EMT certification and worked as an EMT for 5 years. I also worked as a Funeral Directors assistant. I then accepted a position working with special needs individuals as a job developer: for five years. I was also involved with Special Olympics as a Basketball, Volleyball and Softball coach as well as serving on the Washington County Board as a competition coordinator.
I also worked as a physical therapy technician and finally I worked in the oil and gas industry as an operations manager before accepting my call into Ministry.
In 2002 I took classes to become a local lay speaker. The following year I took classes to become a certified lay speaker. My minister at the time Beverly Gross mentioned to me about going to school to become a minister. I ran from God and would not heed Gods call until finally in March 2017 while meeting my wife for lunch I mentioned to her about me becoming a pastor and she said she was wondering when I was going to say that

I served as the lay leader and SPRC chair for Liberty United Methodist Church as well as serving as a worship leader.

I initially started as a supply pastor for the Fairview/Nebo Charge in the Washington District. In 2018 I took the commuter licensing school and have been a Licensed Local Pastor since 2018 appointed to the Fairview/Nebo Charge. I have served as the UM Men leader in Washington District since 2020 as well as on the district lay speaking committee. I also have served as a camp counselor for Discovery Camp at Jumonville since 2003.

I am currently enrolled in Course of Study at MTSO.

I married my wife Karin in 2001 and we have been blessed with 2 children a daughter Charley age 13 who loves to play basketball and is a Girl Scout and a son Lehman age 9 who does bowling, loves helping his Uncle on the farm driving tractors and is a Cub Scout..

My hobbies include fishing, attending daughters basketball games and serving as a coach for youth league, attending sons bowling tournaments, cooking, gardening or any outdoor activity.
