Barbara Anne (Hood) Stinson, 75, formerly of Chippewa Twp. went to be with our Lord on Friday July 16, 2021.

Born in Ligonier, PA on April 26, 1946 to the late Walter H. and Ruth Louise (Brant) Hood, Barbara graduated from Ligonier Valley High School, West Virginia Wesleyan College, did advanced studies at Wesley Theological Seminary, Washington, D.C., and did her graduate work at Edinboro University. Throughout her adult life Barbara was an educator for various schools in Western Pennsylvania.

Barbara was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Rev. Dr. Daniel A. Stinson. Throughout their 53 years together she encouraged and supported his career as a United Methodist pastor.

She saw the good in everyone and was a friend to all. Her love of music and beautiful alto voice enabled her to sing in many community and church choirs, including the Beaver Valley Chorale.

In addition to her husband, she will be sadly missed by her four children, Jeffrey Stinson, Coraopolis, PA, Matthew Stinson and Paula, Erie, PA, Jennifer Stinson-Chandler and Chris, Chagrin Falls, OH, Emily Ortolano and Patrick, Parma, OH; her six grandchildren, Jordan Stinson, Chagrin Falls, OH, Brendan Stinson, Columbus, OH, Anne and Molly Ortolano, Parma, OH, Kylie and Ainsley Stinson-Chandler, Chagrin Falls, OH and; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Hollie Hood, Oviedo, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends were to be received Monday, July 19, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the HILL AND KUNSELMAN FUNERAL HOME, www.hillandkunselman.com , 3801 Fourth Avenue, College Hill, Beaver Falls. A funeral service was scheduled for Tuesday, July 20 at 10 a.m. at Chippewa United Methodist Church, 2545 Darlington Road, Beaver Falls with Rev. Allan Brooks and Rev. Joel Garrett officiating.

Interment will be in Valley Cemetery, Ligonier, PA at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
