Robert C. "Bob" Siess, age 100, of Allison Park, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, February 10, 2023. Beloved husband of 69 years to Dorothy (Stauffer) Siess; loving father of Kip (Pam) and Rebecca Albaugh; proud pap of Andrew, Andrea, Angie, Robert, Joshua, Ashley, Ricky, and Aubre; dear great-grandfather of five; bother of Maxine Siess.
Bob proudly served his country as a Lieutenant in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh and the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary following his service. He also received an honorary Doctorate Divinity Degree from Albright College. Bob built the Monroeville United Methodist Church where he served for 13 years. He also served as Superintendent in the Connellsville and Indiana Districts and as Council Director of the United Methodist Church located in Pittsburgh. After retiring from ministry, Bob and his wife served as Regional Directors for Educational Opportunities, a nonprofit travel organization.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 PM at the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD.,1500 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16, at 11 AM in St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ferguson Rd. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Viaquest Hospice.
