The Rev. Mildred E. "Mid" Sadler Monticue, 87, of Stahlstown, passed away Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.
She was born March 22, 1930, in Elizabeth, a daughter of the late Fred and Alice (Douglas) Sadler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Monticue; and an infant brother, Douglas Sadler.
Mid attended the Heritage United Methodist Church and was ordained as an elder in 2004 after serving as a local pastor. She served as pastor at Lyppicus: Calvar; Sinnemahoning/Sterling Run and Arona/Herminie 2 UMCs until retirement in 2006.
Mid is survived by her six children, Jackie Iscrupe, of South Carolina, Christine Monticue, of Maryland, Robert L. ( Melissa) Monticue, of Latrobe, Theodore (Jennifer) Monticue, of White, Debbie Monticue and her fiance, John Teslevich, of Mt. Pleasant, and Marshall (Amy) Monticue, of Latrobe; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl (Judy) Sadler, of Stahlstown, and David Sadler, of Stahlstown; and numerous foster children, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends were received in the SNYDER FUNERAL HOME INC., 402 E. Church St., Ligonier, were a funeral service was be held Tuesday, Aug. 22 with the Rev. John E. Flower officiating. Interment was to be in the Stahlstown Cemetery.
