Linda Carol Lewis, 81, of Brewton, Alabama, formerly of Clarksville, PA, died May 31, 2021 in McMillan Memorial Hospital, Brewton, Alabama. She was the surviving spouse of Pastor James D. Lewis, who died Friday, May 7, 2021 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Pensacola, Fla.

Linda was born February 10, 1940 in Marianna, the daughter of the late Henry and Edna L. Kisner Howes. On July 6, 1963, Linda married Pastor Lewis. Also deceased are her siblings Donald Lee Howes and spouse Mary Ellen, James Dale Howes and spouse Barbara, and Sandra Kay McDaniel and spouse Perry.
Linda is survived by her five devoted children; James D. Lewis Jr. (Diana) of Arkansas, Linda Lucille Lawry (James) of Brewton, Jeffrey L. Lewis (Sharon) of Clarksville, Timothy A. Lewis (Susan) of Millsboro, and Christine Fisher (James) of Ohio; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are in-laws George R. Lewis, Judith Ann Lightner, Dorothy Lewis, Kathy Conley (Butch) and Mary Anne Lewis.
Linda was a women of abiding faith. She helped her late husband in his ministry for many years. Linda was a member of the Fordyce Methodist Church, the Methodist Women, and sang with Jim in the “Gospelaires”. They both loved square dancing.
She worked as a cook at McDaniel’s Personal Care home, Clarksville after the kids grew up. Linda was a little lady with a big heart that led a full, rich life.
Family and friends were received in the Paul M. Lesako Funeral Home Inc., Carmichaels, Pa, 15320, Friday, June 4 and Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral service Pastor Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will followed in Horne Cemetery, Marianna.
