Betty M. Lash, 87, of Greensburg, widow of the Rev. Donald Lash, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Nature Park Commons, Greensburg.
Born Oct. 5, 1929, in Herminie, a daughter of the late George and Florence (Thomas) Johnson, Mrs. Lash was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of Charter Oak United Methodist Church, where she was very active, serving as a longtime organist at the church and as a member of the handbell choir. Over the years, she made many friends through her involvement in church activities, all of whom she cherished.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. H. Donald Lash; and her daughter, Karen Coleman. She is survived by two sons, Chris Lash and his wife, Kathy, and Dan Lash and his wife, Qi; two grandchildren, Corey Lash and Henry Fan; a brother, George Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Charter Oak United Methodist Church on Monday, March 20, with the Rev. Chris Whitehead officiating. Interment was in St. Clair Cemetery.
