Rev. William Harold Hiles of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Carnegie, PA, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016.

Rev. Hiles was an elder in The Western Pa. Conference of the United Methodist Church, where he served as pastor of several churches, including the Jollytown Charge, West Bridgewater, King's Chapel, Canonsburg, Mercer, and Titusville UMCs.

He and his wife Lois retired to Florida in 1999 and were active in Community United Methodist Church, Daytona Beach. In recent years, they returned to Pennsylvania each summer to lead the popular Older Adult Retreats at Olmsted Manor Retreat Center.

Services were scheduled for 11 a.m., Thursday, September 1 at Community United Methodist Church in Daytona Beach.

He is survived by his wife LoisAnn Persinger Hiles;  children Dana of Coraopolis, Pa., Peter (Gail) of Moon Twp., Joel (Kimberly) of Boiling Springs, Pa. and Jonathan of Crescent, Pa.; seven grandchildren Noah, Mackenzie, Cassidy, Joshua, Austin, Ryan and Emma; a brother Thomas Hiles, and sister of Charlotte Turney and Donna Williams. Also surviving are several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother Ruth Grace Betts and father Francis D Hiles, Sr.; and siblings Francis Donald Hiles, Jr., Robert B. Hiles, Mary Evelyn Hiles, Charles H Hiles, James Hiles, and Douglas Hiles.
