Phylle M. Hastings, 89, of Meadville, died of pneumonia on November 3, 2020.
Born December 27, 1930 in Meadville, a daughter of Nicholas and Susan Petrenchik Boyle, she married Rev. Lewis S. Hastings on September 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on January 27, 2010.
Phylle graduated from Meadville High School and Boston University with a Bachelor's degree. She subsequently earned a Master's degree in education. She taught 2nd grade in the Pittsburgh and Baldwin Whitehall School Districts.
Survivors include two children, Holly Hastings (Troy Deck) of Ambler and L. Stewart Hastings of Cleveland, OH; a sister, Elaine Beard; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services are private with burial in Greendale Cemetery.
