A celebration of the life of the Rev. Florence "Flo" Parker Clark, 83, of Knox Dale, Pa., who served as a chaplain and local pastor in Western PA, will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 16 at the Knox Dale UMC. She passed to her heavenly home on Monday, Nov. 23, 2015.
She is survived by her five children: Rev. Charles S. Clark, Jr. (Diane), of McKinleyville, Calif.; Jeffrey Clark of Decatur, Ga.; Joseph Clark (April) of Terre Haute, Ind.; Linda Lazzeroni, Tucson, Ariz.; and Miriam Barker, Huntington, Ind.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She also thought fondly of Luster Barker who, along with Miriam, was at Flo's side as she passed.
Florence was predeceased by her 10 siblings: Lawrence (at age 1), Lyle, Wayne, Charles, James, Nial, Fern, Alice, Elmer and Bill.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, faith and forgiveness, and loved ones who feel a huge void with her passing.
As a full-time local pastor, she served congregations at Country Hills (1981-1982); Penn (1982-1983); and Meadowlands/Fawcett (1983-1985) as well as serving for several years as chaplain at nursing homes and retirement facilities.
Rev. Jerome Kennedy and Linda Lazzeroni will officiate at the celebration of life service.
