Rev. Charles L. Elliott, 90, of Fairborn, Ohio, passed away Feb. 1, 2015.
He was born October 13, 1924 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania to James Lynn and Florence Johnstone Elliott. Charles served the New Alexandria/Luxor Methodist churches before attending seminary and was ordained on June 4, 1964, as a member of the Western Pennsylvania Conference of After serving two years at East Brady UMC, he became a hospital chaplain. He retired in 1990.
A member of Summit Station United Methodist Church, he attended Enon UMC, where a memorial service was held Feb. 7.
He was a WWII Army Air Corps Veteran. Charles is survived by his wife, Donna Lee Elliott; daughter Diane (Jim) McNamara of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; two sons, James Clare (Lillian) Elliott of Enon and Philip David Elliott of Germantown, Maryland; two grandchildren, James A. Elliott (two great grandchildren, Presley and Harper Elliott), and Katherine Elliott; siblings Selene (Robert) Butters, Wilson Harold (June) Elliott, and Florence Dewey; and several nieces and nephews.
Inurnment was at the Dayton National Cemetery. In-lieu-of flowers please donate to DAV, Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements were by Adkins Funeral Home.
