Dolores I. Croyle, 80, of Ben Avon, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Rev. Rodney J. Croyle.
Mrs. Croyle is survived by their children, David and Karen Croyle; a brother Philip Shawgo, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents Loyal and Elsie Shawgo and a brother Glendon Shawgo.
Born in Grove City, she was a 1954 graduate of Grove City College with a degree in music. She was a music teacher, piano instructor, church soloist and member of the Pittsburgh Concert Chorale and the Ingomar United Methodist Church.
Friends were received Nov, 27 at the Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, Inc. in Avalon. A second visitation was scheduled Nov. 29 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Grove City, from 10am until the noon service. Interment was to follow at Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggested donations to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
