Lois (Rider) Hollenbeck, 84, a resident of Redstone Highlands, North Huntingdon, formerly of Jeannette, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013.
The widow of the Rev. LeRoy L. Hollenbeck, she was a member of Community United Methodist Church in Harrison City.
Born June 10, 1928, in West Sunbury, a daughter of the late Samuel Edgar and Clara Elizabeth (Snyder) Rider, she preceded in death by her husband and brothers, Verne and Dean Rider.
A retired employee of Jeannette District Memorial Hospital dietary department. she served with her late husband at several churches during his career as a Methodist minister.
She is survived by her children, Clara McCabe and her husband Charlie of Portersville, George Hollenbeck and his wife Diane of Irwin, Donna Cahill and her husband Michael of Centre Hall, and Barbara Reitsma and her husband Charlie of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; grandchildren, Rob (Laurie) Hollenbeck, Anni Hollenbeck, Philip (Ainhoa) Cahill, Dan (Naomi) Cahill, Andrew (Lisa) Cahill, Tim (Maggie) Cahill, Naomi and Sarah Cahill, and Kimberly, Douglas, and Wes Reitsma; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Rider, of Parker, and nieces and nephews.
Friends were received at the William Snyder Funeral Home in Irwin. A funeral service was scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday in Community United Methodist Church, 3487 Route 130, Irwin, with the Rev. John E. Ciampa officiating. Private interment was to be in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to Community United Methodist Church
