Sally E. Rupert, 65, of Southmont, went home to be with her Lord Dec. 16, 2012.
Born Aug. 24, 1947, in Johnstown, she is survived by her husband, the Rev. Edward “Jack” Rupert; children, Daniel; Christopher, married to former Stephanie Vore, and their children, Sydney and Jackson; and Matthew, married to former Jill Henderson, and their children, Jake and Addison. Also survived by brother, Craig, and his wife, Colleen; sister, Susan, and her husband, Alan Raymore; sister, Joni, and her husband, Barry Kohr; and several nieces and nephews.
Sally was a 1968 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She retired in 2010 with 42 years of service a registered nurse. She was active with her husband on serving pastorates with several churches in the Johnstown area, most recently at Tire Hill Church of the Brethren.
As part of their ministry, the Ruperts were foster parents for many years. Sally enjoyed spending time with her family at their cottage on the Juniata River. Sally’s passing ends a marriage union of 42 years. She was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Funeral service were held at Westmont Church of the Brethren, with the Rev. Arthur Moffat. Entombment was at Grandview Mausoleum.
