The Rev. Grace Imathiu, noted pastoral leader and preacher who was popular here as the 2009 Annual Conference Bible Study teacher, will lead the 2016 Pastors' Academy at Olmsted Manor. Her topic will be: “Ministry in the Madness: Preaching Through Any Circumstance.”
The Pastors’ Academy at Olmsted is set for Monday, May 9 (5:30PM dinner) through Wednesday, May 11 (lunch), and provides 1 Continuing Education Unit. Clergy continuing education scholarships are available. (Forms are online at www.wpaumc.org/forms).
Grace Imathiu is currently Lead Pastor at Community UMC in Naperville, Illinois. She was raised in Kenya, where her father is a retired bishop.
Grace earned her undergraduate degree in Kenya, her M.Div. at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and has studied at Vanderbilt University, the University of Cambridge, and at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. She is married to writer and science photographer David Hay Jones.
