Clergy and laity from senior high students through senior citizens are invited to help provide leadership to the 2020 Annual Conference session from June 11-13 at Grove City College by training to become a Section Leader.
At each legislative section meeting, a team of one clergy and one lay person lead annual conference voting members as they review the legislation assigned to their section. Section leaders do not have to be voting members of the annual conference to serve in this ministry.
The first of two training days is scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, at Dutilh United Methodist Church, Cranberry Twp. PA.
This training includes: The Ministry of Section Leaders and Teams, Robert’s Rules of Order and Principles of Consensus, Building Communications and Leadership Skills, and Team Building.
There is no cost for the training, lunch and snacks are provided.
While the Section Leading teams are built through these events, the training is open to all in the interest of expanding and improving leadership in local churches and the Conference, beyond the Annual Conference sessions in June.
