Orientation to Ministry will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. - noon at First United Methodist Church, 251 Main Street, Leechburg, PA 15656. The Orientation is a requirement for anyone pursuing licensed or ordained ministry. However, this initial gathering is open to anyone who would like to learn more about the various types of set-apart ministry that exist within the United Methodist Church. Information will be presented about the broad range of opportunities including CLM, professional certification, local pastor, and ordained ministry. Register.

Church court: No new elections needed for GC2024: The United Methodist Church’s highest court ruled that new delegate elections “are not required” for the long-delayed and potentially pivotal General Conference, now set for 2024. The featured speaker is the gifted and dynamic Dr. Cynthia A. Bond Hopson. Dr. Bond Hopson is Chief Equity Officer and Assistant General Secretary of the Black College Fund (BCF) at the United Methodist Church’s General Board of Higher Education and Ministry in Nashville, TN where she lives.
