United Methodist Disaster Response Team leaders and volunteers were mobilized after severe rain and flash flooding hit areas of Southwestern PA on the evening of June 20.  Among the hardest hit was in Bridgeville, south of Pittsburgh, where one woman died and 60 to 80 homes and businesses were damaged.   Many described it as the worst flooding in 65 years. Greensburg District Clergy Rise Against Hunger

Whitehead Can't Stay in Holy Land

Tina Whitehead, who has served as a volunteer Conference missionary in the Holy Land for several months each year since 2006, is back in Western Pennsylvania after experiencing difficulties entering Israel. Gottschalk to Lead Ministry in Bahamas

The mission went to Brisas del Mar, an extremely rural location toward the Caribbean coast. Volunteers Needed for Flood Clean-Up
