6 pm Note: Due to the forecast for extreme heat, the event has been moved from Freedom Corner to Trinity AME Church, 2700 Wylie Ave., in the Hill District.
The church is air-conditioned, has a sound system and comfortable places to sit. Plenty of free parking is available in the streets surrounding the church.
The vigil will be led by African American, Hispanic American and faith leaders.
Come to learn more about this horrific occurrence and to pray for eternal vigilance regarding the perils and impacts of the racial prejudice, systemic racism, and
white supremacy so pervasive in our nation today.

The Bishop Cynthia Moore- Koikoi will speak at this vigil being planned by United Women in Faith and the Summit Transformational Action Antiracism Team to commemorate
the 100th anniversary of this travesty. Community leaders and the Faith community will come together to mark this event.

and segregated neighborhoods in America. There will also be a photo exhibition and reception.
