Clergy Coaching Group

What is “clergy coaching”? It is a process of leadership development that is grounded, not in telling people what they should do, but rather in asking powerful questions that help a leader to discern new possibilities and to clarify priorities. One of the deepest blessings of clergy coaching is that it equips the clergy leader to contemplate ministry more comprehensively so that decisions can be made strategically and prayerfully rather than reactively.

Beginning in February of 2019, we will offer a “Clergy Coaching Group” in the Butler District. The group will be facilitated by Allan Brooks and Tim Goodman (two pastors on the Butler District who both have experience and training in the area of leadership coaching).

The group will meet for 90 minutes each month and will focus on the work of coaching one or two people through an issue or a situation identified by that person or those two persons. Each meeting will also include mutual encouragement and prayer.

The first meeting of the Clergy Coaching Group will be on Thursday, February 7, from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the United Methodist Conference Center (1204 Freedom Road in Cranberry Township).

If you are interested in being part of this group, please register with Thelma Castor in the District Office: butler.office@wpaumc.org

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED SO THAT WE CAN PREPARE EFFECTIVELY!
