Dr. Karen Scheib
Dr. Karen Scheib is professor emerita of pastoral care and pastoral theology at Candler School of Theology, Emory University. She is the author of Challenging Invisibility: Practices of Care with Older Women, Pastoral Care: Telling the Stories of Our Lives, and Attend to Stories: How to Flourish in Ministry, as well as a number of articles and book chapters. Her research has focused on narrative pastoral care, which explores the power of story in shaping our sense of ourselves and the world. She is a retired elder in The United Methodist Church and a member of the North Georgia Annual Conference.
