The series will bring leaders and experts from denominational agencies to share ideas and resources for use in the local church.
The first session, open to everyone, will feature Dawn Wiggins Hare, chief executive of the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women. She'll discuss how the mission and mandate of of GCSRW is is relevant in the local church, sharing stories, ideas and resources to both inspire and challenge participants to join in the work of empowering women as leaders in their ministry context. CEUs are available.
Presented by the Conference Board of Laity and the Conference Office of Lay and Clergy Excellence, the series was initially designed as a replacement for the Leadership Day held each year in conjunction with Annual Conference. That event was cancelled due to the pandemic the past two years.
