About Harmony U M Church
East Ridge-Harmony is located on the East Ridge of the Appalachian Trail, and is in the Harmony Area School District (HASD), in Westover, PA . The congregation has a very active women's ministry, a Bible Study that has been active for over twenty years, an adult Sunday School class, and most recently, a quilters club. The women's ministry helps support two area full-time missionaries, as well as a member who goes on a yearly mission trip. Additionally, in non-COVID times, the church conducts three Cantata's yearly: Christmas, Easter, and the Fourth of July. The church works with the Salvation Army, Angel Tree, Westover Food Bank, Westover Fire Company, and Franklin Graham Ministries. They also hold two community services yearly; Crosswalk/Good Friday and Thanksgiving Eve with Grace United Methodist and Westover Baptist Churches,
The Harmony Area School District is the areas largest employer and renown for being the smallest numeric enrollment of any District in the Commonwealth, while simultaneously claiming the second-largest School District geographically. This rural church is located in Southwest Clearfield County, less than a half-mile from the Cambria County line.
