About Jefferson U M Church
Known in our community for over 175 years Jefferson Hills UMC is an open door home of worship and ministry. As a household of faith we welcome each other home in Christ. We also lead each other out the doors of the church to be in ministry with all of God’s family. What we do in church and out speaks to our understanding of who God calls us to be.
Through worship, Christian education, mission, outreach and fellowship we seek to be faithful to God. Worship, supported by excellent music, both traditional and contemporary, is the backbone of our ministry. Constant learning anew about our faith and service in our community and throughout God’s creation are the hands and feet we offer in being about God’s business. Through presence in our community and beyond we seek to be faithful.
With a recent need to go from full time pastoral staff to part-time, a visioning plan has been developed by members of the congregation. Short term and mid-range goals have been established to strengthen the core of our membership and ministry while reaching out to welcome others. We work diligently to discern God’s plans for our future with hope.
