About Summerville U M Church
The attending congregation of Summerville UMC is comprised largely of Grandmothers. The presence of children is anticipated and welcomed. We have materials to keep them busy and there are ample places for them to deal with excess energy or unrest.
Currently we are conducting an active Adult Sunday School Class using the UM quarterlies and lots of good discussion.
Bible Study is conducted by the Pastor and has an attendance of 12 - 15 each Wednesday at 1:00 PM. Lots of coffee and tea and laughter as we look at God's
word together. There are times we will do a book study for 6 weeks; but we generally quickly return to Scripture.
We actively participate in the Summerville Ministerial Association. Summer picnics at the fireman's pavilion; summer movies, Thanksgiving Worship adn other activities as they come along.
