The Conference UWF supports several organizations that serve those in need in Western PA. Among them, the Ruth M. Smith Center, a personal care facility and day care center in Sheffield, PA, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2022 and is as owned by the national UMW, and the Erie UM Alliance (EUMA), which offers shelter and support for unhoused veterans, families and youth aging out of the foster care system.

The UWF partners with the Conference in presenting the annual Mission u, providing information, inspiration, and opportunities for mission for adults, youth, and children. Due to the pandemic, only adult studies have been offered, via Zoom. The UMW also provides grants to mission agencies and programs in Western PA through the Elizabeth A. Bradley Mission Fund and supports scholarships for Christian vocations.
