These faith-based organizations were founded by United Methodist Churches and continue to offer important humanitarian outreach to vulnerable people in our area. They rely on volunteers and small staffs to operate and can often provide local churches opportunities to connect with the mission field in their geographic areas or consult on how to start a new outreach.
Throughout Advent, congregations receive Doorways to Hope at Home special offerings to support the six Conference Regional Mission Agencies. The video below, created in 2016 by then summer interns Denise Nicole Stone and Natalia Berkey, gives a glimpse of five of these agencies. Some of the leaders have changed since then, but the ministries continue to serve those in need in their communities and beyond.
