2012 Pittsburgh Marathon
Run for a Reason!
Imagine No Malaria is an official charity of The 2012 Pittsburgh Marathon. If you plan to do the full or half-marathon, or the relay on May 6, 2012, run for a reason! Help save lives in Africa, while reaching your personal goal. Dr. Bob Todd (shown above) of Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler, who coordinated a church team for the 2011 Marathon, is spearheading the effort. He's looking for area coordinators. Non-runner volunteers will also be needed on race day.
Each Imagine No Malaria runner commits to a fund-raising goal. For marathon runners, the minimum goal is $400; Half Marathon - $250; Relay - $750 per team and the 5K - $150. Those who register will be given access to online fund-raising tools as well as a packet of ideas.
