Lay Ministry School
The Lay Ministry Schools held in each district provide opprtunities to be trained in ministry for the local church and for the communities in which we live. The Lay Ministry program is not just for current Lay Speakers and those feeling a call to Lay Speaking, it is an opportunity for all laity explore, learn and be trained.
There are no limitations to attending a school. District boarders, educational levels and where we are at in our faith walks do not seperate us. We all come together to answer Christ's call in our lives.

2012 Homer City School - Courses Offered: Basic Lay Speaking, Advanced Lay Speaking, Stewardship, Hebrew Festivals, United Methodist Heritage, Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations. Cost $25 Dates: Sundays from Feb. 12 - March 18 Time: 2:30-5:30pm
Also offered: Church Leadership Classes - Feb. 12 - Finance, Feb. 19 - Trustees, Feb. 26 - SPRC/PPRC, March 4 - Nominations, March 11 - Church Council, March 18 - Lay Leader. Cost $5 per class. Offered at the same time as the Lay MInistry School.
2012 Kittaning School - Courses Offered: Basic Lay Speaking and United Methodist Heritage. Cost $25 Dates Tuesday evenings from April 10 - May 15 Time: 6:30-8:30pm
Also offered: Church Leadership Classes - April 10 - Finance, April 17 - Trustees, April 24 - SPRC/PPRC, May 1 - Nominations, May 8 - Church Council, May 15 - Lay Leader. Cost $5 per class. Offered at the same time as the Lay MInistry School.
