2009 Session

The 2009 Western PA Annual Conference session was held June 11-14 at Grove City College.  The Annual Conference session brings together clergy and lay representatives from each United Methodist church/charge and district to conduct official business, worship together, and learn more about the ministries here and throughout the global church.

Clergy Appointments for 2009-2010

The 2009-2010 Clergy Appointments were read and set by Bishop Thomas J. Bickerton on Sunday, June 14, at Annual Conference 2009. The Appointments Booklet, distributed that day, has since been updated to reflect edits made since June 14.

Connection Sunday was July 12

United Methodists congregations across Western PA in celebrated our connection on July 12 (or another date of choice). A Connection Sunday kit was given to each church/congregation at AC2009 with a Connection Sunday litany and candle to include in your church worship service(s).

AC2009 DVD Video Order Form

Place an order for a DVD video of worship and other services including: Opening Worship, Memorial Service, Sunday Ordination, Mission Night, and Ministry Night. The two-part Bible Study by Lisa Grant is also available for order. For information, write to Bill Jacka, video specialist fo the Conference.

Did you lose something at Annual Conference 2009? A number of items were found that include:

  • Towels
  • Umbrellas
  • Backpack
  • Pillows
  • Sunglasses
  • Jewelry such as rings ad necklaces
  • Change Purse
  • Keys and key chains
  • Prescription glasses
  • Blanket
