GEORGETOWN, Pa. - Linda G. Rowley, 62, of First Street, died at 10:02 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at her home following a lengthy illness.
Born July 7, 1947, in East Liverpool, a daughter of Marie Kidder of East Liverpool and the late Burl Kidder, she was a lifetime area resident.
A 1965 graduate of Beaver Local High School, she was a homemaker and at one time worked at Riverview Florist. She was a member of the Georgetown United Methodist Church, where she was a board member, a member of the finance committee and served as secretary and treasurer. For the past 20 years, she designed all the church's printed materials.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts and cake baking and was an avid gardener. The biggest joy of her life was her family, especially her three grandsons.
Surviving at home is her beloved husband, George W. Rowley, whom she married Nov. 25, 1967.
She is also survived by her two loving daughters, Tracey A. Anderson and her husband, Tom, of Chester, and Lisa G. McCoy and her husband, Jim, of Clinton, Pa.; and her oldest child, a loving son, Michael Rowley and his wife, Gerri, of Billings, Mont.
There are three grandsons, Steven Michael Rowley of Pittsburgh, Pa., Tyler James McCoy of Clinton, Pa., and Nicholas George McCoy of Clinton, Pa.
Also surviving is a brother, Larry G. Kidder of East Liverpool.
The Rev. Willard "Chuck" Adkins of the church is to conduct services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may call at the church from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Burial is to be in Spring Grove Cemetery.
The family requests memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Georgetown United Methodist Church.
