Edinboro UMC Launches Speaker Series

If you ask 100 people about how faith impacts their lives you will get 100 different answers. We often think that faith only plays a part in our Sunday morning schedules or in how often we say our prayers. But faith is a dynamic force behind so many of the decisions we make and the ways in which we approach obstacles that occur in our lives. With this in mind, the Edinboro United Methodist Church (EUMC) has scheduled a six-part speakers' series to dig deeper into the interaction of faith and…
Drawing guest speakers from Edinboro University of PA, the community and the UMC connection, the series will venture into topics that the rules of social etiquette warn against discussing in mixed company. From questions of bioethics to the similarities and differences between the Christian, Jewish, and Islamic religions; from questions of faith and science to how faith impacts the wars we wage, the discussion will focus on how faith weaves through the intimacies and complexities of life.
Each session of the six-part series begins at 5 p.m. in Grace Hall at Edinboro UMC, 113 High St., Edinboro, PA 16412. The public is welcome. Childcare and refreshments will be provided!  The full schedule is as follows:
