Singers are invited to join the Renewal Choir of Calvary United Methodist Church on Pittsburgh's Northside to lead four Handel choruses for a Dec. 18 concert in which the audience and guest choirs are invited to sing-along in the 'Christmas' portion of Messiah with soloists and musicians.

The venue is the magnificently restored Calvary United Methodist Church, which features Tiffany window masterpieces, in Pittsburgh's historic Allegheny West neighborhood. The concert is the first of its kind in the restored Victorian landmark, just blocks from Heinz Field at 971 Beech at Allegheny Ave.

All voice parts welcome. Optional Tuesday night rehearsals and two "all called" rehearsals:  Saturdays, Nov. 19 at 10 am and Dec. 3 at 5 pm. No audition required. Church choirs that wish to join the lead choir should contact Brian Burns. Those that wish to sing with the audience should sign up in advance for group seating; rehearsal at Calvary is optional.

Contact Calvary Music by Nov. 11. Call 412-231-2007 to reach music director Brian Burns or e-mail: CalvaryUMChurchPittsburgh@gmail.com.

Tickets are $10; $5 for seniors and students. Children 12 and under are admitted free. Active or returned military are admitted free.
