Delegation Alternates Generate Heat as They Wait

Alternates for the Western PA Conference delegation to General Conference gather under a blanket on Monday, April 28, in the Fort Worth TX, Convention Center. Temperatures in the region fluctuated resulting in chilly conditions inside the facility.

When not on the floor, alternates huddled together and closely followed the actions of General Conference.

Alternate delegates often serve at a moment's notice to consider the important legislation and workings of The United Methodist Church. Sessions can run hours and days are often approach 16 hours in length. From left, are Diane Miller, Joel Garrett, and Mark Stewart.
