Discipleship

How do we listen to the Spirit? What language do we use? Do we forget about what we do and whose we are in the busyness of ministry? Do you hunger to hear God more clearly? Do you thirst for the Spirit to quench the longing in your heart?...

How do we listen to the Spirit? What language do we use? Do we forget about
what we do and whose we are in the busyness of ministry? Do you hunger to
hear God more clearly? Do you thirst for the Spirit to quench the longing in
your heart?

My name is Rev. Rebecca Innerst. I am the director of Discipleship and
Christian Spiritual Formation for the Western PA Conference.
Through conversation circles, I will work with pastors and laity to explore
effective ways to disciple within their communities. Conversation circles allow
for time of discernment as well as creation of ministry through holy listening.

Together, we will:
• Engage and challenge our beliefs to reach farther than ever
before.
• Create an invitational atmosphere that connects others.
• Initiate a paradigm shift that challenges our hearts.
• Nurture Christian spiritual formation through Bible study and
experiential prayer.
• Cultivate an environment that cultivates and feeds believers of
all ages and introduces new resources and materials to nourish
new believers.

It is my prayer that we will advance the work of ministry in Western
Pennsylvania with the Holy Spirit guiding our steps.
Lord, help us to listen. Balance our hearts and our heads to be in concert with
your holy will.
