2009 School of Mission--Mission Adventure
Children in Mission Adventure spent a week in July working on hands-on mission projects around Western Pennsylvania as part of the 2009 Cooperative School of Mission. This group along with younger children and older youth stayed on the campus of Grove City College. The "tweeners" picked crops for a feeding program, validated doanted health kits, sewed neck coolers for soldiers and sleeping bags for homeless, and more. Images by various photographers.

The Mission Adventure group stands outside the New Castle mission where they scraped and painted the facilities in mid-July.

Sewing "neck coolers" was one of the projects for the "tweeners" in Mission Adventures for 2009. The Frist UMC in Franklin runs the project which sends coolers to soldiers to combat high temperatures.

A neck cooler for soldiers is modeled by a member od the 2009 Mission Adventure group. The group sewed the coolers with members of First UMC in Franklin, who coordinated the School of Mission project.

Mission Adventure projects included sewing sleeping bags with members of White Chapel UMC. The sleeping bags are given to homeless individuals and families.
