Planning An After-School Ministry?
Are there children in your communities who need a safe place to “hang out” after school? Is God calling your church to be involved in an after-school program?
If you are thinking about an after-school ministry program, come to the UM Conference Center on August 17 at 6:30 p.m. to learn more. The evening will focus on a new curriculum entitled: Live Right! Learn Right! Eat Right!. It is a Christian-based, comprehensive program, with detailed lesson plans and participatory meal preparation. The material will be presented by its authors, Rebecca Cartus, a Christian Educator and Gaylor Grant, a professional chef.
Teacher training is available and there will also be information on applying for grants.
This introductory idea session is free, but reservations are needed.
