Circles Campaign Introductory Site Visit
Center Avenue United Methodist Church is initiating a Circles Campaign in the Pitcairn-Monroeville Community. This is an introductory site visit with a representative from Move the Mountain.
Move the Mountain Leadership Center, Inc. (www.movethemountain.org) is a private nonprofit organization established in 1992 with the mission to inspire and equip communities to end poverty. Move the Mountain currently works with over 40 communities in 18 states to design comprehensive programs aimed at reducing poverty by:
- Increasing Graduation rates
- Increasing Job Retention rates
- Involving the community in solutions to poverty
- Improving support systems to families who want to advance their income to self-sufficiency levels and beyond
This initial community based program will serve as a model, to be utilized by the Poverty Team, for replication throughout the conference. Want to learn more? Join us on Friday, April 30, for an introduction to the Circles Campaign and an overview of the program being started in Pitcairn.
