The website is attractive and easy to navigate. Four to six “clickable” photos or videos that link to articles rotate in the feature area of the main page. Also on the front page is a United Methodist News Service feed and a menu link to more WPAUMC news and features.
The calendar and events area now offers online registration and payment. There’s a featured events box on the front page, while the calendar allows you to click on an item and get more information. There’s also a main page Faith in Action section highlighting individuals or church groups who are making a difference in their communities or the world.There’s a link for you to submit stories of people from your church.
The new website’s powerful search engine allows you to find whatever you need by typing in a key word or phrase.You can find logos, photos, news articles, event listings, the Bishop’s biography, Power pointpresentations or a variety of other information.
The photo gallery will allow you to download photos or other images in sizes suitable for print or screen/web publication. A video gallery will be available soon. The new online Media Resource Center will enable you to search and find videos and multimedia courses to borrow for Bible study, parenting classes, Christian Education, small group meetings, retreats or other settings.You can order, join or pay online.You can also review and comment on resources. Directories of clergy; laity and churches; our Bishop’s blog; and easy-to-find, downloadable forms, some of which you can fill out and send in online, are there, too.Coming soon will be detailed information on how to: join or report on a Volunteers in Mission project; get involved in youth or young adult opportunities; and pursue spiritual growth.
