Gans UMC is collecting old school lockers to provide a place for homeless people to store their possessions.
Why? A homeless friend had a special spot, a sheltered place where he kept his few belongings, a sleeping bag, a mat made by a church group, and some really special things: his child's bracelet and his musical instrument. He recently lost everything he had hidden when a bulldozer began moving dirt for construction. The construction worker was unaware that these were prized possessions and not debris. Homeless folks need a place to store their possessions during the daytime hours.
If you have or know of any that may be available, contact Rev. Bev Roscoe at email@example.com or call 724-466-2102.
